Wedding Goblets

I’ve thought about this series for many years before my skills were developed enough to achieve such form. Inspired from artist’s series like Richard Royal’s “Relationship” and Aaron Tate’s “Goblets”: my “Wedding Goblets” are meant as a monuments to the sacred bond and dedication between people in marriage. Ribbons of glass are entwined yet free-flowing in a delicate dance to support a common promise. Together they uphold the sanctity of that promise.

We start with an ideal image of ourselves. It’s blurry but defined. We know what we want, but don’t always know how to get there.

Sometimes we fail and need to rest on each other for support.

Cloud Gazer Series

The sky moves in miraculous ways. It is a sweet treat in life to sit and watch the clouds and let the mind wander. I created my cloud gazer as an escape from the mundane. Captured in a sphere the clouds are seen as if from the view of a airplane.

When you hold it to the sun you will see endless discoveries of your imagination. In a moment you may see a dragon and then a volcano as you rotate it. Each hand-shaped sphere is as unique as its viewer.
