Greetings! I am a glass artist from Oklahoma currently working and living in San Francisco, CA. I received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and am now working as a freelance glass artist and designer.
The moment I saw molten glass I fell in love. The captivating movement and actions of sculpting hot glass became irresistible. It is a craft, an art, and a lifestyle; a delicate yet sometimes violent balance between heat, gravity, and metal to create art using the most beautiful medium. Every piece is unique and handcrafted with attention to detail and design.
I like glass because it is challenging to work with. It requires skillful timing, patience, and teamwork to actualize visions of a piece of art created from glass. That all takes time to learn, but when they all come together glass artists make some of the most beautiful objects created by hand.
My passion for the outdoors and beautiful views of nature influences my art. I love to look at what has been created in nature and extract images and feelings I experience while observing them to incorporate into my glass art.
